Mother of all the Living

Inred the Twelve Extraordinary Men from John MacArthur and really enjoyed it, so I had to get the Twelve Extraordinary Woman.  He start with Eve of course and I really got a lot out of it.  Women are a gift from God to men.  One thing he points out is when everything created was brought to Adam to name and there was nothing found suitable for him, so God took it upon himself , without Adam asking, to create a special helper from Adam for man, woman.  We are made in mans glory and we are to be his helper.  I feel so honored to be created in this manner, as a special gift.

The first picture had such a reflection on the alpha sticker, so I took this one without the light above, but the image isn't as bright.
I used Prima Faith stamp of Eve.

The heart flips over and reads:
The woman was made of a rib out of the side of Adam, not made out of his head to rule over him, not out of his feet to be trampled upon by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be beloved.
Matthew Henry

Thanks for looking, I hope you feel honored today as a woman.

Bold & Confident Faith

Hi Faithers!
This is a bold page and pray for bold & confident faith!  To go out into my world and share my story of Christ and what he has done for me!  The images are mostly stamps.  The letters bold & confident is a Hero Arts stamp set....the faith and love come from my Faith Art Stamps, lady and the heart flowers across the bottom are from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  I drew the heart in the background.  For the background color I used acrylic paint and a makeup sponge and added black splatters.  A Signo White Gel Pen was used for shadowing and a blue gel pen for the lettering color.

I pray that we would all have the boldness to proclaim our faith in Jesus and share his love and what he has done for us!

Artfully,
Jill

Catch God's Vision

Hi Faithers....this weeks sermon was a summary of all the great volunteers that helped out at VBS this year.  He started with the lady in charge and her vision and how everyone jumped on board and made the vision come to life.  I like the way he referenced it to the story of David and the armies coming to share in God's vision of making David king.  Then they had 3 days of celebration.
The other part that stood out to me was the list of all the armies that came from all around.....very large groups of hundreds of thousands....and then in the middle you see a group of 200....but God still used them even if they were small in number.  Never thing you are to insignificant for God to use.  He can use anything we have to offer, big or small.

The stamp of the girl is from Unity and is a Phyllis Harris image.  I stamped on deli paper and colored with colored pencils then glued her on the page.  The words where done with Distress Ink and a stencil.  I did prime the page because of the inked letters.

Thanks for looking!

Apostle of Love

Hi Faithers!  Sorry I've been MIA....I've been busy with classes.  I've been reading the book 12 Ordinary Men and I am also writing the book of John.  So when I started writing John, I was reading about the apostle John and thought I would combine both efforts on this page.  So the top notes are from the book reading.  Then I was using my Faith Art stamps just in what was speaking to me.  I used the Mermaid Lagoon Paint dauber, and didn't have to prep my page.  The heart background is a Tim Holtz stencil with Pan Pastels.

I met with our small group today and we did a cute page with a Phyllis Harris Unity stamp....I'll share that tomorrow.

Thanks for looking.  What are you working on or reading lately??

Hope Unshakeable

 Hi Faithers!
Today I wanted to share how to add another entry if the page you want is already done.  Above is the page I had done and I wanted to add the song Anchor from Hillsong to it.  So I picked colors that coordinated with the anchor and used the margin of the page.  I love this song and it just goes so well with the rest of this page.
I used the Faith Art stamps and Sunset Adirondack paint dauber.  Then I colored with Prismacolor pencils.
Enjoy and be blessed!

Check out all the stamps on the tool bar at the top of the blog or on the side in my Etsy store.

Faith Art Rubber Stamps

Hi Faithers!  Today I want to share a quick page I did with my Faith Art stamps.  Stamps make it so easy to decorate a page and if you feel you are not an artist rubber stamps are a wonderful way to add to your pages.  I have been studying the book of Colossians and on the first page there were several different things that jumped out to me.  Using the stamps I was able to illustrate each one with the stamps and bring a lot of color to the page without a lot of work.  The stamps are available in my Etsy store and you can get to it by clicking on the picture below.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/240387466/faith-art-inspiration-red-rubber-stamps

And I also had an ah ha moment yesterday when I was doing this page.  Gesso is an acrylic base and coats the page so you don't get any bleed through.  Well, paint daubers are acrylic paint....sooooo......I used the paint daubers on the stamps and stamped with the acrylic paint and then colored with colored pencils!!  There was no prepping the page and no bleed through!
I put the hearts around the word love in the first section.  In the second section it was talking about the light of the kingdom so I used the sun above that and the dove represents the hope.

I pray that you will find time to feel the peace God shares when you are in his word.  If there is a technique or product you would like to see me use please leave me a message and I will do my best to do it.

Blessings & Prayers to you!
Jill

Jesus is Light of the World

Hi Faithers!  Today's entry is in Matthew 5:16....be a light and shine for Jesus!  I designed the candle stamp, from my Light of the World stamp set, to fit nicely into the cross stamp, from Grace and Mercy stamp set.  The word stamps are from those sets as well and the parentheses.  I just got these neon Stabilo pens and wanted to use those, so my page is rather bright!  I'm letting my light shine:)  The rays are from a Tim Holtz stencil with Distress ink.  I did prep the page first with the Tri Art Gesso....it is a very smooth gesso, just like the Art Basics, and I had no bleed through.

Below are the stamp sets that I used on the page....there are countless ways to use the images!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember to sign up to the left with your email to get inspiration every morning in your inbox!

Let you light shine today for all to see!
Hugs,
Jill

Faith Art Rubber Stamps are HERE!!!!

Hi Biblers!!
I am so excited to share my new line of rubber stamps with you!!!  They are so versatile and can be used of course with Faith Art (that's why I made them! lol), but they will also work well if you do the Project Life, Documented Faith or Documented Life.  They are made in the good ole USA and come in a CD case for storage, they are mounted on cling cushion, so you just stick them to an acrylic block and stamp.  As you have seen examples the last couple of days, there are countless verses and places in your bibles that you can use them.  With every purchase 10% goes to "His Girls" a program to help girls get on the right path.  I have also included 3 tabs to be used to make the beautiful pages you will be making in your bibles.

They can all be purchased in my Etsy Store here.

Grace, Mercy & Peace

Hello Faithers,
I want to share a quick and easy way to add color to a page and stamps without having to prep your page with gesso first.  Using a heavy body acrylic paint like Dina Wakelys, or Liquitex and an old credit card!  It only takes less than a pea size of each of the colors to do one page.  Let it dry between each layer, so the colors layer and not blend.  Then when you stamp on it with the ink the paint acts as the barrier and it doesn't bleed through.
Another peek at the new stamp sets that will be revealed on Wednesday!!  So excited for you to see them and get them into your hands so you can play with them also.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Tim 1:7
I am always encouraged by the verses that remind us of the power we have at our disposal through our faith in Christ.  The same power that raised him from the grave!  All we need to do is believe and accept His grace and mercy.

I the color splash!
Blessings,
Jill

Walk in Love

Happy Sunday!!  I am so excited....Wednesday is my big reveal on my new rubber stamps!!  Yes, I said my new rubber stamps!!  I have created 4 stamp sets that will work with so many different themes and pages in your Faith Art journey.  Here is a peek at 2 of them.  Lots of words and images in each versatile set that will inspire you in your art worship time.

I started by prepping the page with Clear Gesso.   I watercolored the page with Inktense Blocks.  I love the boldness of the colors.  The walk is cut out with alphabet dies.  The "in" was hand written with a Micron Pen, and the journaling was done with the Microns as well. A white Signo Pen was used around the letters and the reflection of the sun in the water.

I've been thinking about this verse with these stamps the last couple of days.  It always amazes me then how God brings stuff into your life....because that is what the lesson today at church tied to.  He referenced Psalm 37 and was talking about how to deal with jerks without becoming one....and ended in Matthew 5...Love your enemies.  So I connected it with 2 John 1:6, Walk in Love.

I hope you get to spend some time in your art worship this week....take some time and be restored and reignited for him.

Hugs & Blessings,
Jill

Bible Journaling Tabs

This just makes me smile!!!  All those wonderful and colorful tabs on my bible pages:)  It represents all the Faith Art worshiping that has happened in the last 3 months!

There are so many different ways to mark your pages....here are just a few of mine.

Washi Tape on the edge as a tab adds color and pattern
An assortment of different punches and seam binding stapled on the page
More assortment of punches and writing my own title on the tab
Using a tag that has a scripture on it as a bookmark in my bible.
A paperclip with a piece of fabric tied to it!
Can you think of other ways to include tabs on your art pages??  Have fun....it will make you smile big to just look at them all!

Hugs & Blessings,
Jill
